A President’s First Years

The division of the nation was significant, and wasn’t along traditional geographical or past political lines.

A President’s First Years – Who? A Riddle

During the first year, there was a large turnover in many Government departments. Many supported (the opposition). Some resigned or were replaced by the new administration.

The division of the nation was significant, and wasn’t along traditional geographical or past political lines. Many foreign deplomats and persons remaining in various governmental agencies were undependable and would forward any information they thought significant to (the opposition).

Intelligence officers tracked communications, opened and inspected various forms of communications, including mail, looking for leaks, intelligence information and criminal activity. The heads of national intelligence often exceeded authority, without due process, and many excesses. Numerous changes in leadership of these departments were removed and others appointed.

News reports, numerous in opposition to the new administration, came under close scruitiny over negative or stories disloyal to the President. The identified media was supressed in various methods.

The various intelligence departments were often in opposition to each other, one was often investigating the other. Arrest were made by special civil and military agents. Police commissioners and some local state politicians were in directly defying the new administration. There was also a shakeup among high level military General officers.

ACLU – WHO ARE THEY?

the FISA warrant procedure is broken as proved by the Obama FISA warrants

THE ACLU CAN EVEN SCREW UP THE FREEDOM OF THE PRESS ISSUE

Below is an excellent paraphrase, by many famous Americans, that the ACLU recently published in an article on “Freedom of the Press”.

“The freedom of the press, protected by the First Amendment, is critical to a democracy in which the government is accountable to the people. A free media functions as a watchdog that can investigate and report on government wrongdoing. It is also a vibrant marketplace of ideas, a vehicle for ordinary citizens to express themselves and gain exposure to a wide range of information and opinions.” (ACLU-FREEDOM OF THE PRESS)

The focus of there article was surveillance of journalist, obtaining cell phone records and other 1984/2018 super NSA type violations of privacy. We, (OneFreePress.net), oppose such acts against any American, except for National Security purposes, and with proper (I really feel this word is almost like saying “F’ck”), FISA warrant or AJ approval in an emergency. Providing all requirements are met, fully, honestly…ok, I’m laughing now. Certainly, the FISA warrant procedure is broken as proved by the Obama FISA warrants.

It’s hard to believe that over 40000 warrants issued and only 21 rejected actually reflects proper documentation and adjudication took place:

Since 1979 to date, the court has approved 40,117 warrants but only rejected 21 requests. That’s a rejection rate of 0.052 percent.” {By  for Zero Day |

What is wrong with the ACLU’s article, particularly the unoriginal statement about the importance of the Free Press, ignores a current condition that has already rendered the Free Press as dead or at least needing resuscitation.

With 90% of the media owned by 5 Multi-National corporations, this robust protector of democracy – “watchdog”, is at most a lapdog to 5 corporations. Which at last reference was about 15 majority stock owner Billionaires. They say in Alabama, concerning false statements, “That dog can’t hunt.” This watchdog has lost all credibility during and after 2016 election, that I believe it’s not a dog but a pussy. Sorry, Kitty.

OUR FREEDOM IS UNDER ATTACK

rule the 1996 Telecommunications act unconstitutional can end this tyranny of the press and eventual downfall of our Democracy.

GREETINGS,  I AM AGENT ORANGE FROM

OneFreePress.org  and many may have read my text on Twitter or Google Communities.

There is a new attack upon our freedom today.

We must meet this new attack as we did the Terrorist Attack on the Twin Towers. With Resolve, With Action, With Extreme Courage, as many Americans did then.

The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, says that

“Congress shall make no law….abridging (limiting) the freedom of speech, or of the press…

Previous we in America thought Freedom of the Press was when the government attempted to control or restrict the press. Often under National Security pretense, sometimes real, other times over exaggerated.

The “Mornal Majority” attacked the press, media, and entertainment a decade ago, to restrict their freedom for moral or cultural reasons.

Attacks will often come from diverse and unexpected directions,, against freedoms of any kind

Because power and control are the black fungus or goo in horror movies that try to take over and smother life, and FREEDOM.

Today; Power and Control are attacking our freedom of the press. The fall from 50 multinational corporations to 5 multinational corporations have taken the diverse, investigative, and fresh revelations from news outlets that will never return. Even if you favor and agree fervently with the current opinions expressed in our mass media, you may not tomorrow, and it will be too late.

Some really important investigative reporting, revelations, and exposures that have protected and changed America happened due to courageous journalist and editors. Today much is happening, and some of us who become aware through digging, know, the public is being manipulated. Mind Controlled. While our media isn’t Journalism but Propaganda. Call it Fake News, Lies, it’s still propaganda.

We have head it called the Deep State, or some shadowy insidious liberal, global agenda haze. Maybe it’s just what a group of elite rich people think? Yes, it does appear to come from these type of viewpoints. But we can’t know for sure. We do know that it is happening NOW. 24 hours, 7 days a week. Lies and Propaganda against the White House and the President of the United States. President Trump.

Even if you favor and agree fervently with the current opinions expressed in our mass media, you may not tomorrow, and it will be too late.

America’s Freedom of the Press was infringed upon by the 1996 TELECOMMUNICATIONS ACT?

If Freedom of the Press is lost, Then Democracy has also lost its freedom.

Congress by passing 1996 Telecommunications act has restricted freedom of the press. A direct violation of the 1st Amendment, whether intentional or not.

That’s exactly what the 1996 Telecommunications act did. Yet it was publicly presented that it would open new markets. 50 to currently 5 major media corporation is what really happened. Thereby greatly limiting competition, and diversity of opinions, concerning the operation of our government, domestic and international affairs.

QUOTE FROM THE 1996 WHITE HOUSE OFFICE:

“Because President Clinton and Vice President Gore believe that diversity of voices and viewpoints is critical to our democracy, the Act will prevent undue concentration of television and radio ownership.”

IT WAS A LIE!

“the diversity of voices and viewpoints is critical to our democracy”

AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM BEGAN HERE

READ THE FOLLOWING ABOUT THIS SACRED TRUST

“This fresh air of freedom flowed across our land, allowing the citizens of the United States to make informed decisions, elect government officials with knowledge from various news sources to make intelligent, wise, and good decisions. The framers of the Bill of Rights felt an informed public, through freedom of the press, could wisely choose the best government officials responsible. And expel those found wanting of ability, character or morality. This trust in the common citizen to choose his own government is astounding. This is what Madison, Jefferson, Adams, Washington and all the signers bestowed upon each of us. This trust In the press to provide a true smorgasbord of opinions, free from coercion, diverse, unrestrained, independent, investigative discoveries, with always an eye on our government and its usurpation or attempts on our freedoms.”

Only action by the Supreme Court to rule the 1996 Telecommunications act unconstitutional, can end this tyranny of the press and eventual downfall of our Democracy. Congress won’t do it. The President doesn’t have the power. So it’s up to the Supreme Court Judges this day to save America and restore the democracy our founders set in motion.

God Bless and Save America!

Will We Meet This New Attack On Our Freedom

THIS UNUSUAL AND UNIQUE THREAT TO FREEDOM OF THE PRESS, VIOLATES THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION

HAS FREEDOM OF THE PRESS BEEN INFRINGED UPON BY THE 1996 TELECOMMUNICATIONS ACT?

Freedom of the Press has been fought on the battlefield more on the government trying to restrict Journalist or the Media under National Security pretense, real or false, or FCC for fair standards or community standards, The thought has been the government controlling or restricting the press. Or even government ownership in some countries. The “Moral Majority” attacked the press, media, and entertainment a decade ago, to restrict their freedom for moral or cultural reasons. Below is a quote how the rich English Gentry once censored press on an ‘agreed upon standard’, of what should be said or not. Nevertheless,  they were all censorship and restrictions placed on freedom of the press. As is this new threat.

I suppose attacks will often come from diverse and unexpected directions against freedom of any kind. Because power and control are the black fungus or goo in horror movies that try to take over and smother life, animals, forest, or kingdoms. Today; Power and Control are attacking our freedom of the press. The fall from 50 multinational corporations to 5 multinational corporations have taken the diverse, investigative, and fresh revelations from news outlets that will never return. The exposures of Watergates, the O J Simpson trial, Monica Lewinsky and Bill Clinton, and some really important revelations and exposures that protected and changed America.

Five cow herds are much easier to corral than 50 cow herds. It is quite obvious to many Americans our 5 media corporations are involved in some shadowy insidious liberal, global, agenda haze. Maybe it’s just what these elite rich people think? Nevertheless, if Freedom of the Press has lost its Freedom, Democracy has also lost its freedom.

….As I asked has the freedom of the Press been infringed upon by the 1996 TELECOMMUNICATIONS ACT?

YES.  Congress by passing 1996 Telecommunications act has restricted freedom of the press. (Direct violation of the 1st Amendment, whether intentional, or not, whether it happened due to a change in telecommunications, the internet, or America forgetting why anti-trust legislation became very necessary. The Daddy Warbucks image has faded.

FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE US CONSTITUTION

The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, says that “Congress shall make no law….abridging (limiting) the freedom of speech, or of the press…”

Telecommunications Act of 1996 (FCC)

That’s exactly what the 1996 Telecommunications act did. Yet it was publicly presented that it would open new markets. Instead, major media corporation monopolized from around 50 to current 5 major media corporation. Greatly limiting competition, and diversity of opinions concerning the operation of our government, domestic and international affairs.

WHITE HOUSE – FROM CLINTON AND GORE

“The Telecommunications Act of 1996 is the first major overhaul of telecommunications law in almost 62 years. The goal of this new law is to let anyone enter any communications business — to let any communications business compete in any market against any other. The Telecommunications Act of 1996 has the potential to change the way we work, live and learn. It will affect telephone service — local and long distance, cable programming and other video services, broadcast services and services provided to schools. The Federal Communications Commission has a tremendous role to play in creating fair rules for this new era of competition.

The 1996 Telecommunications act “Because President Clinton and Vice President Gore believe that diversity of voices and viewpoints is critical to our democracy, the Act will prevent undue concentration of television and radio ownership…

[“PREVENT UNDUE CONCENTRATION OF TELEVISION AND RADIO OWNERSHIP”?].

                                               IT WAS A LIE!

IT DID EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT CLINTON/GORE SAID; “diversity of voices and viewpoints is critical to our democracy”.  OVER 50 MAJOR CORPORATIONS TO 5 TODAY.  Now 90% ownership by 5 Big Daddy Warbucks.

It’s also very obvious, to anyone except persons with their own political agenda, or for job security, or they are lemmings, the 90% media has a definite liberal, Anti-Trump slant. NO, let’s say they are at war and hate the Trump administration, and broadcast this 24/7.  Did Bill Clinton and Al Gore see this advantage coming? I say they did. Either for the future Gore or Hilliary Presidency, our just for their party. Did the 5 major corporations see the opportunities to gobble up the market in this 1996  telecom law? I say they did. This act was heavily lobbied in Congress by the Telecommunications industries, the did this for a real reason.

WHY IS FREEDOM OF THE PRESS, DIVERSE OWNERSHIP SO VITAL TO OUR DEMOCRACY?

“Belief is a wonderful way to pass the time until the facts come in.”

― Carl R White

“Unpopular ideas can be silenced, and inconvenient facts kept dark, without the need for any official ban…. [IN OTHER CONTRIES] things which on their own merits would get the big headlines-being kept right out of the British press, not because the Government intervened but because of a general tacit agreement that ‘it wouldn’t do’ to mention that particular fact… The British press is extremely centralized, and most of it is owned by wealthy men who have every motive to be dishonest on certain important topics. But the same kind of veiled censorship also operates in books and periodicals, as well as in plays, films, and radio…. but it is ‘not done’ to say it, just as in mid-Victorian times it was ‘not done’ to mention trousers in the presence of a lady….

FAIRNESS DOCTRINE

Some authors argue that mainstream media journalism today is a shameful joke because of President Reagan’s decision to abolish Fairness Doctrine. Once upon a time, the Fairness Doctrine ensured that the information we receive – information vital to the ability of the people to govern in the manner intended – came from a wide variety of sources and perspectives. Reagan’s policies annihilated the Fairness Doctrine, opening the door for a few mega-corporations to gather journalism unto themselves. Today, Reagan’s old bosses at General Electric own three of the most-watched news channels. This company profits from every war Americans fight, but somehow is trusted to tell the truths of war. Thus, the myths and lies are sold to us.

The slow road to the Telecommunications Act. Could there be a bigger hammer coming, and Freedom of the Press is but one domino to fall. The First?

Highly concentrated’ media ownership sees Ireland slip down press freedom rankings

The Impact of Media Concentration on Professional Journalism  (Germany, Finland, United Kingdom, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Poland and Romania).

THIS UNUSUAL AND UNIQUE THREAT TO FREEDOM OF THE PRESS, VIOLATES THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION, JUST AS IF THEY THOUGHT OF THIS DANGER, IN ADDITION TO GOVERNMENT TYRANNY OVER THE PRESS. CORPORATE TYRANNY, ELITIST TYRANNY, GLOBALIST TYRANNY.

Well, a rose is a rose, is a rose.

THE SACRED TRUST

This SACRED TRUST bestowed on the Press (media) also is an astounding trust. A profound trust, new to the world at the time.

REPORTING EXCEPTIONALISM

Little Teddy

AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM BEGAN HERE

Freedom of the Press, as part of the First amendment of the Constitution, states Congress shall make no law abridging the Freedom of the Press. The Press in England at the time was controlled and censored. The colonist were subject to censorship or worse. This amendment was to establish a unfettered watchdog, the free press, to present robust, diverse opinions, arguments; challenging and exposing government actions, laws, corruption. Not bound by fear of imprisonment, censorship, or threat of being closed down.

This fresh air of freedom flowed across our land, allowing the citizens of the United States to make informed decisions, elect government officials with knowledge from various news sources to make intelligent, wise, and good decisions. The framers of the Bill of Rights, felt an informed public, through freedom of the press, could wisely choose the best government officials responsibly. And expel those found wanting of ability, character or morality. This trust in the common citizen to choose his own government is astounding. This is what Madison, Jefferson, Adams, Washington and all the signers bestowed upon each of us. This trust in the press to provide a true smorgasbord of opinions, free from coercion, diverse, unrestrained, independent, investigative discoveries, with always an eye on our government and its usurpation or attempts on our freedoms.

The writers and signers knew governments would at times embrace corruption, as all organizations and institutions governed by men will. This SACRED TRUST bestowed on the Press (media) also is an astounding trust. A profound trust, new to the world at the time.

Both are very sacred, they make America what it is. This freedom and trust is the country American Veterans have fought to protect and endure for over two centuries. It was the vision for America of our forefathers. We were the first experiment in this free citizenry. Great leaders have often through the ages made elegant quotes on the significance of this sacred freedom.

2In the First Amendment, the Founding Fathers gave the free press the protection it must have to fulfill its essential role in our democracy. The press was to serve the governed, not the governors. The Government’s power to censor the press was abolished so that the press would remain forever free to censure the Government. The press was protected so that it could bare the secrets of government and inform the people.  (Hugo L.Black)

3Our liberty depends on the freedom of the press, and that cannot be limited without being lost. (Thomas Jefferson)

3 Freedom of conscience, of education, of speech, of assembly are among the very fundamentals of democracy and all of them would be nullified should freedom of the press ever be successfully challenged. (Franklin D.Roosevelt)

3 Whoever would overthrow the liberty of a nation must begin by subduing the freeness of speech. (Benjamin Franklin

3 Only a free and unrestrained press can effectively expose deception in government. (Hugo Black)

Freedom of the press is not just important to democracy, it is democracy. (Walter Cronkite)

With only five corporations now owning 90% of the media, a cartel has been created. The article below also concludes that news outlets will rely less on investigative journalism and more on wire services. It appears worse, they use each other as news sources in a merry go round of responsibility and credibility.

12002 articles of The Nation: Of all the cartel’s dangerous consequences for American society and culture, the worst is its corrosive influence on journalism…the new divisions of the media cartel appear to work against the public interest— and for their parent companies…”

It does work against parent companies that are or were independent. After the 1996 Telecom act and subsequent FCC rulings, an independent company may as well hand his keys to one of the Cartel members. The five media giants, are each their own cartel. A cartel among the five? Who knows, however their copying and citing each other, or rewriting yesterday’s story of a competitor is evident and obvious. Especially when the original source becomes known as fake news.

These 15 Billionaires Own America’s News Media Companies

1”As a matter of policy, we recommend that the government stay away from the free marketplace of ideas. Interference there raises important First Amendment issues. However, under the Constitution’s commerce clause, the government certainly has the right to keep the economic marketplace robust and diverse.”

“Robust and diverse” isn’t part of today’s media output. In fact it is more; repeat, reword, repeat.

1Thomas Jefferson argued that democracy could not succeed unless the public was educated and properly informed. Part of the education process was to permit all opinions as long as “reason and truth” were permitted to combat falsehood. If the purpose of journalism is to educate the demos, it must provide a variety of responsible viewpoints.

Were our forefathers, and the great men through history wrong. Are the people not capable of making informed good choices for our nation? Were they wrong that the press would continue to provide diverse, independent, and unfettered news to the citizenry?

NO, THEY WERE RIGHT! HOWEVER, SOMEONE HAS DECIDED THEY WERE WRONG AND HAVE TAKEN OVER 90% OF THE PRESS AND THEY PRINT THEIR AGENDA. THEY HAVE TRAMPLED ON OUR RIGHT TO A FREE PRESS, AND THE RIGHT OF THE PRESS TO REMAIN FREE. WE THE PEOPLE MUST STAND UP AND DEMAND THIS OLIGARCHY OWNING AND DICTATING TO ONCE GREAT NEWSPAPERS, LEADING EDGE CABLE STATIONS, AND INSPIRING NEWS ORATORS OF THE LATE 20TH CENTURY. JOURNALIST, NEWSCASTERS REMEMBER YOUR SACRED TRUST, REMEMBER WHO YOU FOLLOW, DEMAND YOUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT.
